Artist Residency in Spain

A residency in Spain to go to
I am delighted to have been accepted to go to Can Serrat A.I.R. (artist in residence) for 3 weeks situated 45 kms outside Barcelona in the beautiful setting of Montserrat National Park
I cannot wait to go to this inspirational place situated in the mountains and beautiful part of the world and next to my favourite European city which is Barcelona

Oceans

Oceans is a 2009 film by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud, narrated by the handsome Pierce Brosnan. Although you can only hear him. It took 4 years to film all the material needed to make 'Oceans'. Watching this documentary is music to our ears and a total and absolute pleasure to watch. I highly recommend it for all young and older public. Below are some exerts of the commentary read by Pierce Brosnan. A little bit at a time new forms of life ripple the waters of the world, spreading and multiplying adapting and evolving Pollution runs out of rivers spilling (as can be seen by satellite) We have littered the oceans with hundreds of thousands of trash spilling poison around. Artist Talk @ The Australian Tapestry Workshop

During my residency this year, I gave a talk with the other artists in residence Britt Salt & Anne Graham at the Australian Tapestry Workshop during my residency Here are some excerpt of the talk delivered 6 March 2018 at ATW: '... At 7 people started to notice my drawings, which led me to think I could become an artist. In primary and secondary school I took art lessons at and out of school, during my youth I was always making things while watching TV religiously on Saturday afternoon with my dad. So at 16 exited I expressed to my father that I wanted to become an artist after all I had been working at it for nearly 10 years, this grand phrase didn’t have the grand positive response I expected.
