So so exited developing and creating new work in the studio this week. The more I work with this material I realise how much more awesome it is! Giving me so much flexibility, possibilities and pleasure to work with. Not counting the never ending supply of a discarded material available daily. A new work to create awareness of our plastic consumption and its effect on our eco-system

What an opportunity to have this 3 months residency at the Yarra Youth Services in Fitzroy. There is a large art room where I can work on my own personal projects which are a solo exhibition at the St Kilda Town hall and a large immersive installation at the Bayside Corporate centre in Sandringham both in July this year. I also have the occasion to work with local teenagers as the YYS open their doors 4-6 pm week nights to fashion, video, sound, dance, theatre and open studio workshops. I have the occasion to facilitate art classes & sculpture projects. As an artist in residence you will have the occasion to involve yourself in the larger community programs. Spreading your art possibilities and capabilities. Programs such as Sustainability, Spectacle a day on the green, Gertrude St Projection Featival and more... And you can also help out with a  little bit of cleaning, rearranging and planting. What an opportunity to be here in this community. I  just love being here. Wor...

Carolyn Cardinet’s Monument to Footscray is on display in the courtyard of Footscray library until December 20.   Ms Cardinet has been collecting white waste from local streets and has been keeping a record of her findings in Footscray. Many budding artists live in the area and use the #FootscrayLibrary extensively I must say that the library has an amazing program catering for all the communities from the Maribyrnong area. Here are some photos of the flatten bottles gathered from one area along French Street( how appropriate). This was before a lovely vietnamese lunch at #PhoHungVuongSaigon next to Nab at 128 Hopkins st, right opposite #Trocadero and #FiveWalls galleries. Walking tour Footscray Today as a new resident, I joined a council walking tour of Footscray the tour led us from the Footscray Town Hall to Hopkins st bridge by Amanda Morgan then the wall painting that can be seen from the bridge intersection by  Conrad Bizjak  and then up to the library to see the tree lanterns by Jessica Kelly to end up at my  at #Artsboxmcc artist residency studio. A residency in Spain to go to I am delighted to have been accepted to go to Can Serrat A.I.R. (artist in residence) for 3 weeks situated 45 kms outside Barcelona in the beautiful setting of Montserrat National Park I cannot wait to go to this inspirational place situated in the mountains and beautiful part of the world and next to my favourite European city which is Barcelona
