An unusual idea came to me while away but always wanted to make. Also the material found were perfect for this project. Collecting, gathering and recording trash while walking the street of Sydney suburbs allowed me to create this work and of course as you will see this happen to look like fashion... squeezing the waistline looking at the tail of the dress  Now do you see what I see when I mention fashion albeit now fashionable trash in Pyrmont and that is where fashion came into my mind

First day Gleaning and harvesting the plastic trash found on the streets around my new studio Discovering my new surroundings, I walked for 1.1/2hour and have gathered a promising amount of found plastics objects.Such as: Black: Agi pipe Straw Take away coffee lid Window Rubber Shoe bow Corners Rubber Fork White: Packaging Straps Fork Straws Bottle Lid Mc Donald's drink cup lids Take Away coffee lids Industrial lid

Jackpot in Footscray I have found a large amount of take away coffee and of soft drinks lids as well as many straws These will be mounted on the monuments I am creating to be displayed the Library courtyard after my residency. A residency in Spain to go to I am delighted to have been accepted to go to Can Serrat A.I.R. (artist in residence) for 3 weeks situated 45 kms outside Barcelona in the beautiful setting of Montserrat National Park I cannot wait to go to this inspirational place situated in the mountains and beautiful part of the world and next to my favourite European city which is Barcelona

My work is up and has a feeling of lightness and of ligth the lightness is expressed as it soars up towards the sky This is a great window space for this works thanks to the curator Caitlin Telford for designating me this position in the space. There it is the dismantling of a 3 weeks show and we are please and feel that the exhibition Regurgitate. It certainly allowed people to enter our realm of interest, in pausing, for a moment, their thoughts to things they may not have seen, thought of ... or were indifferent to All plastic items in the show were found on the beach Human indifference is the worse thing that can happen and in a way that is  where we have come to in this super fast world The oceans are polluted by our plastic and consumer waste that will never disappear .... until.....  we take responsibility in  create recycling plants through out the world but first thing first,  How about in Australia!!! We need to use less plastic and replace it with items that are made of metal or glass  and that are recyclable  Painting on canvas behind mobile of purified bottles utilised by drug addicts Spoons and lids from drink pop-up bottles And the more...

REGURGITATE Carolyn Cardinet and Janita Ryan The Library Artspace www.thelibraryartspace.blogspot.com Wednesday 06 March 2013 to Saturday 23 March 2013 Opening Wednesday 06 March 2013 6-8pm !!Come and regurgitate!! Carolyn Cardinet and Janita Ryan regurgitate the flotsam and jetsam spewed onto the City of Port Philip shoreline between 2011 and 2012. This gleaned debris is reprocessed, decontextualized from its original purpose and reframed to take on new meaning. Cardinet’s large monochromatic paintings hanging from the gallery’s beams are a strong contrast to Ryan’s miniature egg tempera works.

In Memoriam 2 @ Gossard Space This installation of single use cardboard packaging used to transport art stretchers is painting with mistints from Bunnings The idea of this project is to use the overlooked. Many items  has been regarded as not worthy by Western society. The sad truth is that yet we produce more, when we already have plenty to use and choose from.
