After working with scientist and researchers at RMIT University during my Art & Science residency in Sydney this year I was honoured to be asked to be a speaker for the RMIT symposium on the state of the bay. Westgarth Theatre Always nice to hear that passerby thought the works on display was  or reminded them of my artwork This installation was put together for the special event for the occasion of the projection of the French Film Festival documentary Tomorrow (Demain) a must see and a positive outlook on what people already have put to action around the globe... There is an inkling of hope on the horizon but we all need to do our bit. However small or large your contribution is, your gesture is going towards a positive impact on our future for this planet.   Choosing your best shots is always a difficult decision in the making or not! This was another great opportunity to put my work up in one of the still standing old  Melbourne icon venues

Volunteers are needed at a workshop to help create new habitat  for our diminishing insect population Keep the date and come along on Monday 6th February 7-9pm St Kilda eco-centre (St Kilda Botanical Gardens)  Please bring some organic material and manmade containers to assemble these habitats  Start gathering material for the event such as: dry organic matter              leaves       twigs       pine cones       grass       nuts        flowers newspaper       corrugated cardboard       plastic/metal containers       plastic straws    sticks The Great Local lunch this year will be another amazing lunch served along the Yarra river. While jet lagged I am writing a quick note to say that am back online and in the flesh in Australia. I have seen new and old sites that took my breath away, I have laughed and been myself as I had not done in many years, I have enjoyed and discovered many foods, I have seen many old friends and family and encountered and befriended people from all parts of the globe, I have been on adventures on uncharted territories and left traces of my passage there through my art installation but most of all I blessed my time overseas...France-Spain-Portugal you unveiled your true European beauty and it is with this message of gratitude that in the next posts I will reveal the works I could achieve whilst away in my artist residency in Spain at Can Serrat at the bottom of this gigantic mountain 'Montserrat'.

Planting Away Our seedling (Thanks to Deb Punton @Greensong) and dressing them up in our take-away  pots with single-use packaging made of paper and of plastic is a colourful adventure well for me at least as you know lately my art has been very monochromatic white or black (inspired by Louise Nevelson's works no doubt) and a love of my past work in the the Haute Couture and Parisian fashion of the 1980's. This adventure is a fun break for a cause that is close to my Heart and Art. So I will be at the Great Local Lunch this Sunday 14th February 2016 at 12.30pm for a fabulous occasion promoting gorgeous organic food a plenty and simple sustainable living. A very hot day to work in the studio I decide to drive around as the bitchumen   is hot under my shoes. I glean areas a bit further from the studio and I collect. I wash and display the found in my studio. I record the created collections of similar shapes and colour and start thinking of displaying the found in patterns... Although the amount and the found will dictate that...
