Artist Residency - Day 23 - Scavenger

Scavenger Days are nearly OVER
One of my last day picking up rubbish today I have concentrated in the last minute design of the Totem and went to pick up flatten plastic bottles

Today the lovely warm weather brought many visitors, some recurring friendly people, to the studio.
Many budding artists live in the area and use the #FootscrayLibrary extensively I must say that the library has an amazing program catering for all the communities from the Maribyrnong area.

Here are some photos of the flatten bottles gathered from one area along French Street( how appropriate). This was before a lovely vietnamese lunch at #PhoHungVuongSaigon next to Nab at 128 Hopkins st, right opposite #Trocadero and #FiveWalls galleries. I always love coming to this restaurant where the locals go and have never been disappointed. That was after I took my friends on a tour of my favorite Footscray market #LittleSaigonMarket where the products are soooo fresh they are still moving and the fruit taste sooo sweet and buttery (mangoes, pawpaws, avocado, etc)
Anyone hungry now ?

Oceans

Oceans is a 2009 film by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud, narrated by the handsome Pierce Brosnan. Although you can only hear him. It took 4 years to film all the material needed to make 'Oceans'. Watching this documentary is music to our ears and a total and absolute pleasure to watch. I highly recommend it for all young and older public. Below are some exerts of the commentary read by Pierce Brosnan. Dismantling

There it is the dismantling of a 3 weeks show and we are please and feel that the exhibition Regurgitate. It certainly allowed people to enter our realm of interest, in pausing, for a moment, their thoughts to things they may not have seen, thought of ... or were indifferent to All plastic items in the show were found on the beach Human indifference is the worse thing that can happen and in a way that is  where we have come to in this super fast world The oceans are polluted by our plastic and consumer waste that will never disappear .... until.....  we take responsibility in  create recycling plants through out the world but first thing first,  How about in Australia!!! We need to use less plastic and replace it with items that are made of metal or glass  and that are recyclable  Painting on canvas behind mobile of purified bottles utilised by drug addicts Spoons and lids from drink pop-up bottles And the more responsible thing to do, would be
