CAROLYN CARDINET: MEME FAMILLE EXHIBITION
THE BLACK SPILL

Même Famille Black Spill exhibition was inspired and created around the black plastic debris found on our beaches. The exhibition is an exhibition
of assemblages, paintings and prints of tribal necklaces made from the collected plastic waste, the remains of our current society.

This installation project was made possible through the Korowa
environmental team, staff and students whom collected society’s plastic
waste from city streets, beaches and homes.

Visitors to the gallery opening are invited to bring your black plastic pieces to add to the Black Spill installation.

Exhibition opens: 6-8pm Tuesday 26 August 2014
Exhibition closes: 1 September 2014

Oceans

Oceans is a 2009 film by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud, narrated by the handsome Pierce Brosnan. Although you can only hear him. It took 4 years to film all the material needed to make 'Oceans'. Watching this documentary is music to our ears and a total and absolute pleasure to watch. I highly recommend it for all young and older public. Below are some exerts of the commentary read by Pierce Brosnan. A little bit at a time new forms of life ripple the waters of the world, spreading and multiplying adapting and evolving Pollution runs out of rivers spilling (as can be seen by satellite) We have littered the oceans with hundreds of thousands of trash spilling poison around. Dismantling

There it is the dismantling of a 3 weeks show and we are please and feel that the exhibition Regurgitate. It certainly allowed people to enter our realm of interest, in pausing, for a moment, their thoughts to things they may not have seen, thought of ... or were indifferent to All plastic items in the show were found on the beach Human indifference is the worse thing that can happen and in a way that is  where we have come to in this super fast world The oceans are polluted by our plastic and consumer waste that will never disappear .... until.....  we take responsibility in  create recycling plants through out the world but first thing first,  How about in Australia!!!
