Organic Plastic Newstead is launched

A great turnout this weekend for the official launch at 
the Newstead Arts Hub of Organic Plastic.

Speeches took place between Julie Patey of the Newstead Arts Hub, Mary Blain of Mount Alexander Sustainability group in Castlemaine (MASG)and Louise Jiricek launching her new community project Boomerang Bags Newstead.

The crowd included Juliet from the local primary school.
Some of the children came to view and show their parents the artwork they put together with trash during our Art & Sustainability workshops at school last week.

Oceans

Oceans is a 2009 film by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud, narrated by the handsome Pierce Brosnan. Although you can only hear him. It took 4 years to film all the material needed to make 'Oceans'. Watching this documentary is music to our ears and a total and absolute pleasure to watch. I highly recommend it for all young and older public. Below are some exerts of the commentary read by Pierce Brosnan. Artist Talk @ The Australian Tapestry Workshop

During my residency this year, I gave a talk with the other artists in residence Britt Salt & Anne Graham at the Australian Tapestry Workshop during my residency Here are some excerpt of the talk delivered 6 March 2018 at ATW: '... At 7 people started to notice my drawings, which led me to think I could become an artist. In primary and secondary school I took art lessons at and out of school, during my youth I was always making things while watching TV religiously on Saturday afternoon with my dad. So at 16 exited I expressed to my father that I wanted to become an artist after all I had been working at it for nearly 10 years, this grand phrase didn’t have the grand positive response I expected.
