Found Black Plastic Installation

The Great Mother Goddess 2013

My work is created from rubbish washed up on our local beaches. The Jellyfish tentacles are filled with an array of everyday junk polluting our ocean and beaches.
I collect objects found locally and use them to create awareness in what is left behind.
The sheer amount of plastic was a catalyst in my research and interest in sustainability.  The Great Pacific Garbage Patch (7th continent) was paramount in my decision to pursue this pressing issue in my art practice.
