Back in the studio

And happily I must say as to experience ones studio without the close pressure of an upcoming exhibition. This time allows one to experiment and test what your imagination has given you that you translated in drawing format for the past few months...
So I decided and probably due to a lack of space in my studio to render & make small the many sketches in my artist diary. 
Here comes a world of maquettes... However am already finding that I itch to see my new creations in a large or extra large format... Patience is a virtue they say and art has certainly put me through that test along the way.

Oceans

Oceans is a 2009 film by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud, narrated by the handsome Pierce Brosnan. Although you can only hear him. It took 4 years to film all the material needed to make 'Oceans'. Watching this documentary is music to our ears and a total and absolute pleasure to watch. I highly recommend it for all young and older public. Below are some exerts of the commentary read by Pierce Brosnan. Artist Talk @ The Australian Tapestry Workshop

During my residency this year, I gave a talk with the other artists in residence Britt Salt & Anne Graham at the Australian Tapestry Workshop during my residency Here are some excerpt of the talk delivered 6 March 2018 at ATW: '... At 7 people started to notice my drawings, which led me to think I could become an artist. In primary and secondary school I took art lessons at and out of school, during my youth I was always making things while watching TV religiously on Saturday afternoon with my dad.
